Hone Your Creative Process: The Power of Writing

Writing. A way to express your inner-feelings or that little place in all of us that we may refer to as a soul. Feelings of hurt, dread, acceptance and understanding run deep in a writer’s soul.
Expressing those feelings in a raw manner is never easy for anyone let alone a true writer. Writing can take the pain, the words curling around the emotions hoping to hold it in or make sense of it all.
Having someone leave your life after sharing so much of it is painful. So painful that only words and an ever-flowing set of words curling into a story, can help a writer’s soul comprehend the overwhelming feelings of loss.

Harnessing the power of pain and then welding that power into a semblance of acceptance through understanding is the driving force of many writers. But real life steps in and takes the place of the necessary time dedication needed to truly write.

When Writing is More Than Writing
Technology allows the capture of your words using various forms of digital media. Authors and journalists use voice recorders to capture the words with the intention of reviewing the recorded voice in order to write direct quotes, theories and interpretations.
